The Orphan I Am Chronicles – 75

Some are calling the death/murder of Alfred Wright a mystery. A mystery? His body found with his throat cut, an ear also cut off, teeth knocked out and a host of other areas of obvious trauma.  According to his toxology report, he died of a self-inflicted drug over-dose (how convenient)He had been missing since last November.

His body found just yards from where he was last seen, the local law enforcement in Jasper had ignored any notable attempts to properly ‘investigate’ Mr Wright’s death, (murder) But many unrelenting friends, family and activist have launch their own inquiries which have put pressure on many to actually ‘re-examine’ the so-called investigation.

Jasper, a small Texas town which some many years back was the environment of racism/bigotry which resulted in the brutal murder of James Byrd Jr. His killing by resident’s of that town was brutal, in which he suffered great pain before he died.

When does it end? Will it ever? This lack of respect and value for life, resulting in horrid deaths, by the hands of those who look down upon anyone of another race, who look at them as a life undeserving of living a full-filled life, a life which is of compassion, a meaningful pursuit of one’s own dreams while battling such a racist environment.

I have never been to Jasper, Texas but I’d like to think that there are some good people there, God I hope so. But it is the one’s who lack compassion for life and their wanting to see that all those around them suffer miserable lives, those of other races, those with darker skin.

It sickens and saddens me to see that at this point in my life, that while some things do change for the better, many things don’t. I’m hoping that what good people may exist in that area of Jasper reads this and does the right thing, turn these who would kill with such lack of appreciation for life over to an area of law-enforcement who will actually do something about it.

Don’t cover it up, don’t turn a blind eye, there is a family grieving, there are many who like me who want justice and this narrow-minded racist ‘way of life’ to be a thing of the past, for those who should live this way? But is this really living? To be one who is fueled by anger, hatred, with the ability of looking at one’s self in the mirror and liking the evil that you see?

Those of you who know of those that did this, think about this. Those who think and live this way live miserable lives and they pass on their racist views to the little ones around you, that are the future of your small town which has a reputation of being a town of bigots. This racist view will only close doors for you and yours and will deprive many of a positive and beautiful life, those little one’s that run beneath your feet.

Do the right thing, turn them over, those who murder without conscious. If you don’t, then you must realize this, people who don’t think the way you do will NO LONGER tolerate this, that I am sure of.
