The Orphan I Am Chronicles – 53

After a little over two years of growing my hair out, I finally cut it off so that I could donate it to, ‘Locks of Love’. After recovering from cancer two years ago, I heard about this organization that made hair pieces for children who either by cancer treatments or a disease which would not allow them to grow hair, would have hair pieces/wigs etc made for them from donated hair. When I first decided to let it grow, it was about 3 inches long and in just over two years, it grew mid-way down my back and was more than long enough to donate.

They like the donated hair to be at least ten inches in length. Ten pony-tails cut from my head, varying in lengths of 18 inches to just over 12 inches, all boxed and on its way. If anyone is interested in donating, please check out Locks of Love’s website, just google it. pEaCe
